![]() Used for playing in tiny windows, display of massive maps and perhaps videos. Hermano 16:23, 15 October 2010 (UTC)Ĭan these tilesets be used on a mac as well? I added a link to the Raw tile selector tool since a lot of these tilesets lack raws for newer versions of df. Anyone know of any links? 3lB33 14:15, 24 September 2009 (UTC) Thanks Mike for doing this, this explains some of the confusion I had with others (I knew yours required RAW mining, but not the others.) My only problem is that many of the others don't seem to have any explanation of which RAWs to change. I agree, those heavily edited tilesets should be seperated, preferably with a link to the matching raws. Shouldn't those be separated to prevent confusion among newbies? They are likely to try these tilesets with an unmodded DF and get frustrated. I'm noticing more and more tilesets on the list which require edited raws, in most cases they require the raws from DFG. 25 Alloy_curses_12x12 transparency issues.23 Sortable and collapsible tileset tables. ![]() Also if you don't turn off "Window is resizable" in game while using Borderless Gaming it will cause the window to keep jittering trying to resize itself. Do note that without something like Borderless Gaming (free version off of github works fine for this) the window may be in an odd position on your screen. This should fix the window scaling so that it fits your monitor especially if you are using a higher DPI monitor such as a 1440p or 4k monitor. Click on the "Change high DPI settings" button, check the checkbox under "High DPI scaling override", and set it to "Application" if you set the in game window width and height to your native resolution OR set it to "System" if you chose to go with the resolution you are scaling to with Windows scaling, see above for some examples of what those resolutions would be. Right click on "Dwarf Fortress.exe" and select Properties, then go to the Compatibility tab. If you are using Windows scaling: Navigate to the executable's location which should be somewhere like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dwarf Fortress" depending on where your steam installation is located. If you're going to be using something like Borderless Gaming to make the window borderless then also make sure to disable "Window is resizable (takes effect on restart). Whichever you choose keep it in mind for later. ![]() Once you're able to get into the game to edit settings from there you should set "Initial window width (if windowed)" and "Initial window width (if windowed)" to either your native resolution size OR if you are using Windows scaling to make your desktop scale things to another resolution you can either still use your native resolution or you can set it to whatever resolution you are scaling to. ![]() If you want to use windowed mode with something like Borderless Gaming to emulate borderless fullscreen: After that just make sure your in game resolution is set to your native resolution aka the actual resolution of your monitor. This should fix fullscreen scaling if you are using Windows scaling. Click on the "Change high DPI settings" button, click the checkbox under "High DPI scaling override", and then select "Application" in the dropdown. If you want to use fullscreen and it isn't working correctly and you have a high DPI monitor and are using Windows scaling to make your desktop scale things to another resolution (for example if you have a 4k monitor but don't want everything to be scaled super tiny you would have Windows scaling set to 200% to make stuff like desktop icons look like they would on a 1080p screen) then navigate to the executable's location which should be somewhere like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dwarf Fortress" depending on where your steam installation is located. ![]()
